The Mabry Family: Descendants of Francis Maybury and Elizabeth Gilliam of Surry County, Virginia, published by Donald E. Collins in 1987. 

The Mabry Family is a 603 page cloth bound volume, covering all branches of the family. The book is completely indexed. A reprint edition was published in 1997 and again in 1999. The reprint edition does not update previous information but does contain about 75 pages of new information about: the descendants of Seth Maybury of Jackson County, Tennessee; the Mabrys of Union and Abbeville Counties in South Carolina; and John Mabry of Rutherford County, Tennessee. Both editions are now out of print.

This is a 261 page cloth bound volume with a focus on the descendants of Charles2 (Francis1) Mabry who migrated to southeastern Missouri. The author has done an excellent job of setting the Mabr(e)y story in the context of historical events. Wayne County's Lost River Settlements: The H.Y. Mabrey Papers, also by Cletis R. Ellinghouse, published in 2008 by the Xlibris Corporation of Philadelphia. 

This is a book about the people in the communities along the St. Francis River that were destroyed by the government in the late 1930s to clear the landscape for development of Wappapello Lake. The original Mabrey homes in Wayne County were along this river.

This is a two volume softbound book. Its 800+ pages are devoted to the descendants of Charles4 (Isaac3, George, Francis) Mabry. The volumes are very well illustrated with family photos and documents. Where It All Began by Roy M. And Ola H. Mayberry, published in 1988.

This is a 250 page soft cover volume. It traces the lines of many descendants of Charles2 (Francis1) Mabry, including historical settings and many personal stories. Now out of print.

The Mabrys of Stanly Co., N.C. by James Byron Mabry in 1974.

This is a 78 page soft cover book compiled. It examines the line of Francis2 (Francis1) Mabry with emphasis on those who settled in and around Stanly County, North Carolina. Now out of print.

Blue Ridge Heritage by Dorothy Burnett Peterson was published in 1987. 

This book is devoted to the Burnett, Branscome, Hylton, Cox, Slaughter, Mabry, and other families of Grayson and Carroll Counties in Virginia. It is available from Mrs. Jean Peterson Lesesne, 607 Longleaf Drive, Chapel Hill, NC 27514.

Yesterday: The Hampton, McCracken, Longwith, Mabry & Wells Families by Diana Mellen, published in 1995.

Don Collins began a family newsletter in 1995 as "The Mabry Family" that continued in 2005 as "The Maybury Family". Its publication was discontinued in 2011. While they last, copies of all back issues will still be available from Dave Collins at dave77collins@gmail.com
